The Courtyard Marriott Binghamton in Vestal, NY is a clean, accessible hotel that was renovated in 2015. We toured the premises on November 10, 2023 and rate it 8.5/10.
Starting outside, there are four accessible parking spots directly in front of the building, and six new car power stations to its side. The front door is accessible with touchless power entry. The front desk sits at a comfortable height of 34’, and there is braille signage throughout the hotel. There is an accessible washroom on the first floor. One elevator services all three floors, and an accessible pool offers an ADA lift for entry. The hotel also offers a conference room, business center (with one computer, the desk at a height of 30”), and fitness area, although the last does not feature powered accessible entry.
Courtyard Marriott Binghamton offers 5 hearing impaired rooms and 3 accessible rooms, one having a roll-in shower.
We toured room #217, a medium sized accessible room. The bed may only be reached from one side, but the peephole is at an appropriate height. There is no connecting door to another room, and there is no roll in shower or bathroom emergency phone.
