The Hilton Garden Inn in Nanuet, New York is a handicapped-friendly hotel which has recently installed new beds as of November 2022. There are two up front accessible parking spaces and a powered touchless entry to the building. The front desk was at a reasonable height of 33.5 inches. There is an available ATM, braille signage throughout the hotel, an accessible first-floor restroom, and two elevators servicing the entire five floors of the hotel. Other amenities include a somewhat small fitness area (no powered doors), a pool with an ADA lift and accessible restrooms (no powered doors), and a conference room (called the Hudson Room).
The Hilton Garden gains much credibility by its offering of seven accessible rooms including four rooms equipped for the hearing impaired. All seven of these rooms hold roll-in showers. We toured room #423, which was equipped for hearing impaired individuals. Room #423 offered a king-sized bed that could easily be accessed by a wheelchair from both sides, a large restroom, and an accessible height peephole. The restroom had handrails in the toilet and shower area, and an emergency phone.

We additionally toured accessible Suite #331, which is not equipped for the hearing-impaired but does offer a roll-in shower. It is furnished with a king-sized bed. Its door width measures 36.75 inches. Lastly, we toured accessible Studio #307, which provides two queen-sized beds.
Element New York offers a conference area, a fitness area, and an accessible swimming pool with an ADA lift. The hotel also has a rooftop bar, the Concourse Club, featuring tapas-style dining.
