Crowne Plaza, Providence-Warwick offers convenience and quality to all guests, whether they are staying for purposes of business or pleasure. The hotel is easily accessible from I-95 and located fewer than 10 minutes from T.F. Green airport (Warwick) and fewer than 15 minutes from downtown Providence. Staff is friendly and accommodating and the hotel is clean and impressively maintained. It offers two eateries with overlapping menus but different atmospheres: Alfred’s Lounge, with its cozy leather chairs and fireplace, and The Crossings, a sleek and modern bar-restaurant. Plaza Java is the hotel’s in-house café, serving up Starbucks coffee drinks and grab-and-go food options.
Crowne Plaza’s outdoor parking lot is expansive and offers 15 up-front accessible parking spots. The front door can be opened by an accessible push-button. The front desk is also accessible, sitting at a height of 33.5 inches. The hotel offers an accessible fitness area as well as an indoor pool, outfitted with an accessible ADA lift. The business center provides two computers for guest use, each sitting atop a desk that measures 28 inches high by 26.5 inches wide. First-floor accessible washrooms include sinks that measure 33.75 inches high by 26.75 inches wide. Additionally, the hotel offers a conference area that is divided into three large and distinct spaces.
Crowne Plaza’s six floors can be accessed by two accessible elevators. This hotel offers 12 accessible rooms and six rooms for the hearing impaired. We toured Room (102), an accessible room with a king-sized bed and lighting for the hearing-impaired. The room’s door is equipped with a peephole and the room offers a roll-in shower with a shower handle. The room’s dimensions were recorded as follows:
