The remarkably accessible Hilton Burlington, is conveniently located in down town Burlington, VT overlooking Lake Champlain, with stunning views, and gorgeous sunsets for your added enjoyment. Convenient access to the waterfront is a pleasant plus.
The hotel offers two hundred and fifty eight rooms, ten of which are handicap accessible, many sharing fantastic views. Three of the accessible rooms provide roll-in showers, five have two twin beds. All these rooms provide visual fire alarms for the hearing impaired, along with closed captioning television decoders for the visually impaired.
Hilton Burlington is pet friendly to service dogs, and also welcomes pets of non-handicap guests. Two of the accessible rooms are located near the bar and main dining room. Seven spacious conference rooms are available with the possibility to have three additional rooms prepared. Audio/visual equipment rentals are available upon request to pleasantly cooperative staff. Three accessible washrooms are provided on the first floor, with an additional accessible washroom outside the various conference rooms.
The front entrance of the hotel is completely touch free, and automatic.
However, though the front desk is central, it is not completely accessible, having no lower height section. Amenities near the front desk are a small convenience store, and a well appointed work space, offering two computers, along with fax and copy availability.
A bar and lounge accompany the one main dining room, called the “Mounted Cat,” known for featuring locally grown farm to table ingredients. For meal options, an outside accessible pavilion, plus heated fire pits provide an agreeable addition.
Underground parking and above ground parking is free for handicap guests. There is no valet service offered. The pleasant indoor swimming pool and fitness area are both accessible.
Hilton Burlington deservedly rates a high nine out of ten for accessibility and convenience.
