Bally’s Atlantic City, right off the boardwalk greets you with a multitude of amenities for night life and daytime fun. A casino, shops, and a variety of spa services, plus a sauna and a poolside bar are provided for your pleasure. Bally’s is made up of three towers – Bally’s Tower, Dennis Tower, and Garden Tower. Over 1200 rooms are found in the entire complex made up of the three Towers.

This review applies to the Dennis Tower. As for accessibility, although the first floor front approach offers a ramp, the entrance does not appear welcoming to the handicapped since the front door is non-power, while the rear door is accessible only through a revolving door. The front desk , which is on the second floor can be reached by two elevators. However it is at a non-accessible height of 46”. A Dunkin Donuts and a bar brighten the offerings on the second floor. The carpet throughout both hotel and casino has heavy pile, making it difficult for wheel chairs.

In the Dennis Tower, there are a total number of 24 Accessible Rooms. Eight of these are accessible doubles, with shower tubs and wands. Six of the accessible rooms have roll-in showers, with king size beds. Ten accessible rooms provide king size beds, and shower tubs with wands. One accessible room is a smoking room.

Regarding accessible room # 646 there is both good news and bad news. The entrance door way to the room itself is 36” wide. Light switch heights are 46” high and there is an available door to a connecting room, although the door width is 32”. The king size bed, height 29”, is comfortable. Cots are available if requested. A bed table 27” high, a television table 37 ½” high, another table, 30” high, and a wheelchair reachable coat closet, height 45”, add to the room’s accessibility.

The bathroom in room # 646 could be easier to get into having a high lip on the threshold and a door width of 34 ½”. Otherwise, it has a sink height of 34”, a toilet height of 17”, with toilet hand rail height of 36”, and a bathroom door towel hook at a height of 49”. The tub/shower offers a shower seat with a hand rail height of 36”. The towel rack height is 48” and an emergency phone is available. At the time of this visit the tub did not drain well.

On the second floor, Bally’s Dennis Tower provides an accessible washroom with toilet handrails at 36”, toilet height of 18”, and sink height 35”.
