Holiday Inn Express & Suites, newly renovated, both in 2016 and 2018, is downtown, and within a mile and a half from the University of Texas Campus. The Inn provides 171 rooms in total, out of which 8 are handicap accessible.  Some of the accessible rooms, offer hearing impaired accessibility as well. 

The welcoming front lobby offers an accessible Front Desk height of 34.25”.  Also, in the front lobby are a breakfast area, a small market with an ATM, and a computer area with 2 computers, desk height 31”.  The pool and fitness area are accessed from the first-floor. Fitness area does not have a power door. The door to the outdoor pool is not power accessible, though the pool does have an accessible lift.

The front lobby offers two accessible washrooms.

The Hotel offers one conference room.

There are three elevators, in the lobby.  Two of which connect all the floors. The third connects to the parking garage which is beneath the hotel.  

Tour guide stayed in Accessible Room # 326 which has an accessible peep hole and a very comfortable king size bed. A connecting door is to an adjacent room, is available if needed.  The bathroom provides a shower/tub with a shower wand, and a removable bench seat, but does not have an emergency phone.
