Tru by Hilton in Vestal, NY is a very clean and accessible hotel. Built in 2019, Tru’s parking lot offers two car charging stations, and four accessible parking spots at the automatic front doors. We toured the premises on November 10, 2023, and rate it 9.5/10 for accessible use.

The front desk sits at 34’, and there is braille signage throughout the hotel. Conveniently, there is one accessible washroom on the first floor, and two elevators which service all three floors of the building. The hotel also offers a business center (with one computer, the desk at a height of 34” on the top and 31” on the bottom) and a fitness area. The fitness area does not have a powered door.

For your stay, Tru offers 5 wheelchair accessible rooms – 3 of which have roll-in showers – and 8 rooms equipped for the hearing impaired. We toured room #224, which was quite large. The peephole on the front door was at an appropriate height, and there was a door connecting it to the adjacent room. While there was no emergency phone in the bathroom, it did have a roll-in shower.
