The College of the Holy Cross is a Catholic liberal arts college founded in 1843.  Its total enrollment is under 3,300.

Fenwick Hall

Fenwick Hall features four handicapped-accessible parking spaces in front of the building, indicated by markings on the pavement.  The building’s handicapped entrance is at its rear through Okane Hall.

One elevator connects Fenwick Hall’s four floors.  The fourth floor houses the admissions office.  The fourth floor provides accessible washrooms.

Brook Concert Hall

Fenwick Hall connects to Brook Concert Hall.  This building lacks a power entrance, but offers accessible washrooms.

An elevator connects all of Brook Concert Hall’s floors.  The first floor features the Department of Music and the Music Library.  The second floor contains the concert hall itself, with an accessible entrance on one side.

Smith Hall

Smith Hall offers a push-button accessible front entrance, but no power door at the building’s rear.  One elevator serves Smith Hall’s five floors.

Henry M. Hogan Campus Center

The Hogan Campus Center provides a push-button accessible entrance at the front, but not at the rear.  Eight accessible parking spots are available at the front of the Campus Center.

Two elevators serve all of the Campus Center’s floors.  Its lower level features a dining area called Crossroads—offering a deli, grain bowls, and salads—as well as the 1843 Grill.  The building has an outdoor patio at its rear.

Joanne Chouinard-Luth Recreation and Wellness Center

A new building, the recreation center provides a push-button power-accessible front entrance.  One elevator connects all floors; accessible washrooms are offered throughout.

The recreation center features a fitness center containing a gym, basketball courts, and a track elevated above the basketball courts.

Anthony S. Fauci Integrated Science Complex/Smith Laboratories

Two accessible parking spaces are located in front of the Fauci Integrated Science Complex.  Its front entrance is push-button power-accessible.

One elevator connects the building’s four floors.  The lower level houses the D’Agostino Café.

Dinand Library

Dinanad Library is a very old building.  Two accessible parking spots are located next to the Fauci Integrated Science Complex; one can access the library through that building.  The library’s accessible entrance is to the rear of the building, but no power doors are offered.  

One elevator services the library’s three floors.  The lower-level washrooms are not handicapped-accessible.

Kimball Hall

An older building, Kimball Hall is the student dining hall.  The building features two accessible parking spaces behind it.  A side ramp leads up to the front door, which is push-button power-accessible.

Summary

The campus of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts rates an eight out of ten for accessibility. The campus stands on two hills. It features a few new buildings and numerous old ones. It’s hard at times to find power-accessible entrances, and some buildings did not offer power doors.
