The Hampton Inn & Suites in Manchester, Vermont is centrally located downtown, clean, sophisticated, and highly accessible. We rate it a 9.5/10.

In the front of the building are four accessible parking spots, with an automatic front door for easy entry. There are three EV charging stations on either side of the building as well. The front desk is 31” at the top and 27” at the bottom – making it easy to reach – and there’s an accessible restroom on the first floor. Braille signage throughout the building enables the visually impaired to navigate on their own. There are two elevators with service to all three floors of the hotel.

Amenities-wise, the hotel has plenty to offer. A business center in the building offers two computers for guest usage. There is also a fitness area, conference area, guest laundry facilities, and an accessible pool with an ADA lift (however, entry to the pool is not powered). Unfortunately, there is no ATM inside the building, but right across the street is a Shaw’s grocery store.

For those who enjoy ski resorts, Bromley Mountain is only six miles away and Stratton Mountain is fourteen.

There are nine accessible rooms available, all of which are equipped for the hearing impaired. One has a roll-in shower. We toured rooms #127, 129, 138, and 229.

Room #127 was spacious, with an accessible height peephole in the door, king sized bed, and pull out couch. It did not have a roll-in shower, emergency bathroom phone, or a connecting door to another room. Room #129 had plenty of room as well, and was equipped for the hearing impaired, while #138 was smaller and solely equipped for the hearing impaired. Room #229 is the selection with a roll-in shower, and was much larger.
