The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) is broken up into three campuses: East Campus, North Campus, and South Campus. The dormitories are on East Campus.
The University Crossing Building on East Campus houses UMass Lowell’s admissions department and the school store, the River Hawk Shop. An elevator takes visitors to the University Crossing Building’s second floor, featuring an information desk, accessible washrooms, and the Crossroads Café, which includes a Starbucks.
Four handicapped-accessible parking spaces are situated across the street from the University Crossing Building, along with an electric-vehicle charging station.
We toured North Campus.
Southwick Hall
Southwick Hall offers a push-button power-accessible front door. Near the front door, an elevator connects to the second floor, which has accessible washrooms.
Southwick Hall houses offices for the Francis College of Engineering, the Dean of Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mathematics & Statistics. The building shares its courtyard with Shah, Cumnock, Perry, and Dandeneau Halls.
Shah Hall
Shall Hall provides a push-button accessible entrance.
Cumnock Hall
Cumnock Hall features two accessible parking spots at the building’s rear. The front of the building lacks a power entrance; the rear of the building has a push-button accessible door.

Ball Hall
The rear of the building features an accessible entrance. Ball Hall contains accessible washrooms throughout. An elevator connects all of the building’s four floors. Ball Hall houses academic offices for Civil & Environmental Engineering and Plastics Engineering.
Perry Hall
Perry Hall offers 12 accessible parking spaces at its rear. The building does not have a power entrance—it is accessible from the rear through Ball Hall.

Everett V. Olsen Hall
The Biological Sciences Department—including its faculty offices, research laboratories, and classrooms—calls Everett V. Olsen Hall home. It offers four accessible parking spaces to the side of the building. Two elevators connect its six floors; there are accessible washrooms on both sides of the first floor. For a quick bite or drink, the building features vending machines, and a Dunkin’ Donuts stands next door.
Pulichino Tong Business Center
Five accessible parking spaces are located behind the Pulichino Tong Business Center, as well as three electric-vehicle charging stations. The Business Center provides two accessible entrances at its rear and the front doors are push-button accessible. A newer building, the Business Center opened in 2017.
One elevator services the Pulichino Tong Business Center’s four floors. The first floor features a computer center and offers accessible washrooms.
Along with Cumnock Hall, the Pulichino Tong Business Center houses the Manning School of Business. The Business Center connects to the Martin J. Lydon Library; the connecting hallway offers accessible washrooms.
Martin J. Lydon Library
The Martin J. Lydon Library provides a push-button accessible entrance. Two elevators serve the library’s four floors. A Starbucks neighbors the library.

The Mark and Elisia Saab Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center features push-button accessible doors at both its front and back. One elevator serves the building’s four floors. The first floor offers two accessible washrooms.
