The Chieftain Motor Inn is on the Connecticut river approximately two miles from the Dartmouth Green. This is a convenient hotel, at a reasonable price. The hotel is accessible, though not wheelchair accessible. The bathrooms are small and rather tight. The showers have walk-in stalls, and handrails are provided around the toilet.
The Chieftain offers a pool, and a patio accessible from the guest rooms, with views of the Connecticut river. Access to the hotel rooms are very close to the parking area. Overall we would rate the hotel for its exceptional location in proximity to downtown Hanover and general all around accessibility, with 7 of 10 points.
